Day 14 - going home

Today we got up at 6am. We had to be on the 7am ferry to Victoria Point. We went to see Papa Grey Grey's school.

We drove to the airport car rental place to return the van and they shuttled us to the airport. We were there really early so we got lots of time in the lounge.

We got to go on the Hobbit plane and we had TVs in the seats again, but the movies weren't free. When we got to Auckland, we had to pick up our bags and go through the Xray machines before putting them on the next plane. We caught a bus to the domestic terminal and got into the domestic lounge. It was a tiny regional lounge with no toilets but it still had good food.

We got back to Nelson at 9.55pm and Jane Boz came and picked us up in our van. We dropped her home and then went home to see all our animals and sleep in our own beds.

Day 13 - Coochimudlo

Today we left Toowoomba. We packed up our bags and went to Ducky and PD's to say goodbye. We had lunch with Bint and Bazz at the top of the range and said goodbye to them.

We drove down to Brisbane and got on a ferry to Coochimudlo Island. We walked to Papa and Nana Grey Grey's place. After we'd unpacked a bit, we went back to the beach where the ferry comes in to collect Papa Grey Grey. Then we went for a swim.

We had a nice dinner and then went to bed. We saw some gecko's and some scary birds but no koalas.

Day 12 - The gathering

Today we went to church at Trinity (where Mum and Dad used to go). After we said hello to everyone we had to run off to the shops.

We had a BBQ in the park for lunch and invited everyone we knew in Toowoomba/QLD to come and see us if they hadn't yet (or even if they had). The party went on for about 4 hours. The kids had fun on the playground. The adults had a good chat. Mum met her new aunty Mai.

We went back to Binty's and watched some of High School Musical while we waited for dinner. We walked down the road to the sushi train. We tried some cool sushi. Mum and Dad had one with fish eggs on it and one with Jelly fish but we didn't try it.

Then we went back to Binty's to get ready for bed and watch the rest of the movie.
