Day 1 - so many planes

Today we got up and did our normal routine of cleaning at home in NZ. Dad measured everyone against the measuring plank and we said goodbye to our pets. We went to the airport and had some yummy food in the lounge while we waited for the plane.

Flight number 1 was Nelson to Auckland. Ollie and Shania got to hand out the lollies and were given a coffee cup full of lollies and fudge as a thank you. And Dad had a nap. Once we got to Auckland we went into another lounge and ate some more food and sat around waiting for another plane. The lounge was all new and it was pink and purple and had a really cool kids room. And Dad had a nap.

Flight number 2 was the big one, Auckland to Melbourne. This flight was 4h 5m. We couldn't watch movies because they cost extra but we watched TV shows, listened to music and played games. And Dad had a nap.

When we got to Melbourne we had to go through customs which took ages, and Shakira was sick (tonsilitis) and everyone was tired.

We went into another lounge and had a quick dinner before the next plane.

Flight 3 was Melbourne to Adelaide. We got into Adelaide at 8.30 Adelaide time (11.00 NZ time) and went to pick up a hire car. We had to drive a bit to get to Chris and Amy's place before going to bed.
